Delivery & Collection

Yes we deliver Australia-wide. That said, sometimes our third-party couriers do not deliver to certain areas. If your postcode isn’t coming up with a courier option in the shipping calculator, please get in touch with our team and we’ll do our best to organise shipping for you.

We use a variety of different couriers to get your order to you in the most efficient and cost effective way. The couriers offer a door drop service for small to medium sized or lightweight boxed items, and a kerbside drop-off service for heavy, large or fragile items on pallets.

Yes. At the Cart page, select Collection. You can pick up your order from our St Peters store for no additional charge at a time that suits you. Orders are generally available within 3 business days – sometimes earlier. Collections must occur within 14 days of an order being finalised. Should you require storage after 14 days, a storage fee of $25 per pallet will be charged. Storage options are subject to availability.

A few of our pots are too precious to ship so they are available for collection only, from our store in St Peters.

Small or lightweight products are delivered in cardboard boxes. For large, heavy (e.g. Woodfired collection pots) or fragile items (e.g. Handthrown Terracotta collection pots), your order will be packaged on a pallet. Woodfired pots are enclosed in wooden crates wooden that need to be carefully opened with tools and dismantled.

Sadly no, it is the customers obligation to dispose of packaging rubbish in a responsible manner

Unfortunately they won’t. Our delivery partners only do door or kerbside delivery. They won’t bring items inside your home or remove any packaging or pallets. If you require your items to be opened and placed in position in your home or garden our VIP delivery service will be a better option.

If you are located in Sydney metro, we offer a VIP delivery service where we will do all the heavy lifting for you. Our expert team of removalists will unpack your pots, place them into position and remove all the rubbish. This service is available through our St Peters store only. If you would like this service, select Click & Collect for your order and contact the store to arrange your VIP delivery. To provide accurate information to the third-party removalist, we need further information from you, including but not limited to: parking availability, vehicle height clearance, awkward spaces (e.g. narrow pathways, narrow streets), amount of stairs, elevators, and access passages (door/gate width).

Please refer to our policy on Refunds and Returns.

Please inspect the items in your order and notify us within 24 hours if any products are damaged or if they’re not what you think you ordered. This gives us the best opportunity to resolve issues for you as quickly as possible. Please read the detailed information on this in our Refunds and Returns page.

Many of our products are handmade, one-off pieces, so variations in style, size, weight and colour can be expected.  Unfortunately we can’t photograph every piece that’s available so the website shows the best representation of the product style. We pick stock for orders from what we have currently available.  If you have any questions about this, please contact our team before purchasing.

Product & Care

Yes, everything is suitable for indoor and outdoor use except for our Antique Brass pots, as they will discolour if left to the elements.

If you are concerned, we suggest using a piece of rug anti slip underlay (available from most hardware stores). Cut a piece the same size as the base of your pot and place underneath. For external surfaces, such as timber decking, sit the pots on plastic packers so they are not touching any flooring surfaces. This will assist with water drainage as well.

Rather than potting up your indoor plant directly into your new pot, we recommend keeping it in the plastic ‘nursery pot’ it came in, and putting that inside your new pot. Place a plastic saucer underneath the nursery pot to catch excess drops from watering (saucers are available from hardware shops or nurseries). This way, you can water your plant in-situ or easily take it out to water.

All our lightweight pots are designed for effortless handling, although some larger pieces require two people to lift safely. Our Terracotta and Woodfired collection pots are heavier, requiring between two to four people to lift them safely. The weight for every product is stated on each individual product page, under the Product Information section.

You should, it is an amazing experience! If you can’t see any available dates advertised, please email marketing@gardenlife.com.au.

We generally schedule the walks on a Friday, once a month for a few months, and then take a break. Please subscribe to our newsletter for announcements or check our Events page.

Plants

We don’t sell our plants online as our stock is constantly changing . All our plants are carefully hand-selected. Whether it’s architectural specimens or rare indoor plants, you are sure to find something to put on your buying wish list. Visit us to seek inspiration and speak to our team of horticulturists for advice.

We’ll certainly try! Please submit a Plant Enquiry or give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.

Please read our Guide to Potting Plants.

Services

Yes! We’d love to help connect you to nature and create the garden of your dreams. Our talented in-house landscape designers can create urban gardens. Submit a Garden Design Enquiry and we’ll be in touch.

We certainly can. Our in-store retail team are great for tips and advice, but if you want some more in-depth help, book a 30 minute Plant Styling Consultation – it’s free!

Our Plant Stylist can help you select the right plants for your space and the best pots to match. They can help you create a specific look and can assist in curating pots that match your particular style. It’s best for people with small to medium sized balconies, courtyards, decks, porches or internal rooms, and it only includes product recommendations e.g. pots and plants.

Our Plant Stylist doesn’t ‘design’ gardens, create concepts, or plans, or advise on the structural works involved with landscape or garden design. For projects bigger than just helping with pot and plant selection, make a Garden Design Enquiry.
