Landscape Designer – Part-time

Due to promotions within our Design division, we now require a creative Designer who can work collaboratively based in our St Peters showroom.

Your role will be to work as part of a small team and contribute to all stages of the design process including, briefing, concept, documentation and presentation. You will provide support to team members where needed but will also be given the opportunity to take total ownership of tasks to develop your experience. As this is a small team, you will need to be proactive and be a self-motivated team player.

What you will need to succeed

  • Be an experienced and qualified garden designer with excellent plant and horticultural knowledge
  • Have a minimum 5 years’ experience in high end residential garden design
  • Have a high level of communication and presentation skills
  • Be highly proficient in Vectorworks, inDesign and Microsoft office

Other duties include:

  • Organizing relevant admin docs – visual and written documentation to support concept plan – sample boards, detailed drawings sketches etc
  • Drawing up design estimates to assist with quoting and relevant admin
  • Presenting to clients when necessary

We are looking for someone who can work approximately 3 days per week.

Casual Retail Staff

We are also looking for a casual to work one or two days a week (must be able to work at least one weekend day)

Key Roles and responsibilities 

  • Retail sales and all aspects of customer service
  • Dealing with clients, advising on product and plant decisions
  • Dealing with phone calls and emails
  • Sales for Trade Clients
  • Plant care and maintenance
  • Clean and maintain shop inside and outside areas
  • Invoicing clients for shop deliveries and installations
  • Daily reconciliations
  • Checking supplier invoices for shop stock & orders
  • Assist Maintenance/Installation team as required

The ideal applicant for the role will have some retail experience and interest in (and knowledge of) plants.  Training will be provided for the right person.
