Love of adventure!

We are thrilled to bring news of a unique upcoming trip into the sacred mountains of Nepal.

In April 2025, in association with the discerning Manhattan-based travel company, PRIOR, we will journey high into the hills of the Himalayas.

This nine-day trip is a beautiful introduction and dive into the rich culture and history of the spectacular region. You will be captivated by Kathmandu – the majesty of the mountains – and fall in love with The Happy House, our base for five nights, in remote Phaplu.

Described by the Financial Times as one of ‘The world’s best home-from-home hotels’, pioneering mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary gave The Happy House its name and was a frequent visitor and resident, as his charitable trust built hospitals and schools throughout the region.

The traditional sherpa home is hard to describe and charms all its visitors with its simplicity, elegance, and restrained luxury. The hospitality is incredibly warm and full of grace.

We will visit significant Tibetan monasteries, stretch our legs through forests of blooming rhododendrons, stay overnight in the most comfortable tented camp, forage for local food with Chef Mingma, and immerse ourselves in the serene mountain atmosphere.

There’s daily yoga, meditation, and massage if you’re in the mood. Mountain biking is also on the list for the more adventurous. All activities are optional and inclusive. Curling up next to the log fire wrapped in a cashmere blanket with a book is mandatory and highly recommended!
