Pastel tones and mid-century accents

  • Striking succulents
  • Pastel colours
  • Inner-city entertainer

Introducing our inner-west courtyard garden project – a bright, uplifting space with pastel tones, mid-century accents and Palm Spring vibes.
We renovated this previously bland courtyard space for our favourite poet and daughter of a special client. A lover of vintage furniture and clothing, the space needed to reflect the client’s tastes and ensure their fur babies could not easily escape.

The fresh layout makes clever use of the space, giving the client outdoor lounge, dining and kitchen zones complimented with a palette of drought tolerant succulents and other low maintenance plants.

For feature pots we selected a spectacular Euphorbia ingens, smaller specimens of Aloe geminiflora and Agave ‘El Miradores’. A single Phoenix roebelenii stands tall in the corner, fanning out over a large potted Senecio talinoides.

The bespoke planter behind the bench seat houses a cluster of low maintenance succulents including Aeonium arboreum, Euphorbia trigona and Cotyledon macrantha.

Mediterranean touches come from our own terracotta hanging pots and cascading over the white trellis above is a mature Bougainvillea.
With an integrated Beef Eater Signature Proline BBQ and Cosh Living Tribu Illum table and chairs this dreamy courtyard is ready for easy summer entertaining.

Pots featured: Garden Life Adam Goodrum Terracotta Coil Pot, ARD Moderno Praia and Furore Pots. Cushions by Chee Soon & Fitzgerald and bespoke seat pads featuring Sunbrella Fabrics.
